Alibaug's most trusted solar company. 200+ solar installations in Alibaug town and surrounding areas. PM Surya Ghar subsidy experts.
Alibaug, the headquarters of Raigad district, receives outstanding solar irradiance year-round. With its coastal location on the Konkan coast, Alibaug enjoys 5.5–6.0 peak sun hours daily—making it one of Maharashtra's best locations for solar energy generation.
Alibaug residents and businesses pay some of the highest electricity tariffs in Maharashtra under MSEDCL's LT tariff structure. A 3kW solar system in Alibaug can generate 450–500 units per month—completely eliminating bills for most households.
Swara Solar has been serving Alibaug since 2014. We understand Alibaug's unique requirements—from beach-facing rooftops with salt air exposure to heritage properties needing careful installation. We use marine-grade mounting hardware for all Alibaug coastal installations.
Special Note: Alibaug's coastal location requires corrosion-resistant mounting. All Swara Solar Alibaug installations use hot-dip galvanized and powder-coated aluminum structures rated for marine environments.

A large share of Alibaug's housing stock is occupied part-time — weekend homes and holiday villas owned by families based in Mumbai and Pune. Solar behaves very differently on a property like this, and in a way that works strongly in your favour.
Through the week, when nobody is in the house, the system generates almost continuously with barely any consumption. Under net metering, every surplus unit is exported to the MSEDCL grid and credited to your account. When you arrive on Friday and run air conditioning, water heating, pumps and lighting hard for two days, you draw those banked credits back. The property effectively stores its weekday generation as billing credit and spends it at the weekend.
The practical consequence is that intermittently occupied homes often reach a zero or near-zero net bill more easily than permanently occupied ones, because their consumption pattern lines up so well with credit banking. It also means system sizing for a weekend home should be based on your annual consumption pattern, not a simple monthly average — sizing off an off-season bill will leave you badly undersized for the months you actually use the house.
A system you are not present to watch has to be specified more conservatively than one you see daily:
Alibaug's resorts, homestays and restaurants have a different profile again: high daytime load, peak demand concentrated in tourist season, and commercial tariffs that are considerably steeper than residential ones. That combination usually produces a faster payback than residential solar, because you consume most of what you generate at the moment you generate it rather than exporting it.
Note that the PM Surya Ghar subsidy covers residential connections only — commercial installations are not eligible. The economics still work, but they work on tariff savings and accelerated depreciation rather than on subsidy. Our commercial solar page covers this in more detail.
We can survey the property and handle the full installation and subsidy paperwork without you needing to be present. Send us a recent electricity bill to start.
